Wednesday - Colours

G'day folks, I'm myinkyfingers and I am your guest host for this week.

Did you know that Wednesday, named for Woden (also known as Odin or Mercury) is listed by international standard ISO 8601 as the third day of the week, despite being known as the middle, or fourth day of the week in many languages, including Russian, German, Arabic, Greek and Portuguese.

I wonder if it ever has an identity crisis…

Today's theme is "colours". This includes tones, hues, tints, anything at all to do with colours, how we see colours, and even the lack of colouring.

Remember for the sanity of the code monkeys:
Fandom(/s), pairing, prompt

Primeval, Stephen/Nick/Connor, colours of the rainbow
Leverage, Eliot/Nate, black and blue

A couple of rules to remember:
- No more than three prompts per fandom and no more than five prompts in a row. If one of your prompts is answered, then you can leave another one. Just try not to overdo it and space out your prompts for the day.
- No spoiler prompts until after a week since the episode has aired. And, if your ficlet contains spoilers, insert a clear warning and leave three spaces.

Nothing here you like? No problem, check out the Lonely Prompts for something to adopt (this link will now take you to the all new, super-dooper delicious archive).

Devil May Cry, Dante & Vergil or Dante/Vergil, red and blue don't mix

He left the bed without a sound, careful not to wake the other occupant. Not that he could if he wanted to. The other male's snoring was as horrendous as he remembered and the fact that Dante didn't immediately jolt awake the moment he threw the covers off himself and pry himself loose from the other man's tight embrace.

It wasn't intentional: discovered by the famed half-devil after all these years of staying hidden, keeping to the shadows; or falling into the same bed as the hunter.

He had only wanted to see how well Dante had fared since the last time they met, so many years ago. It was just his luck that Dante glanced over at the table he sat last night. Just his luck that Dante would walk over and sit down like he claimed the entire bar for his own (like he owned it; that he was a god among men).

Dante hadn't changed and he knew the moment what would happen once Dante kicked his feet onto the table and bark out the first insult of many at him. It was always the same, their reunion. No matter where he went, Human World or Hell, Dante would find him.

His lips twitched and his head shook. He dressed quickly, hoping to leave before dawn's first light. He never stayed and he wasn't going to make an exception now. They were from two different worlds now and Dante would come to understand that. Red and blue never mixed, no matter how many times Dante tried, as evidence from the mess on the floor.

Blue coat tangled with red, Vergil wrenched away his jacket from the surprisingly tight entanglement with Dante's. He growled silently at the absurd notion that even Dante's clothing disliked being separated from his. Scowling, Vergil left the room and closed the door behind him, planning on returning to his solitude.
