Jeudi: Sayings

Hi there! I’m dreammaidenn and this week is almost over, so today's theme is Sayings. Prompts can be any sayings, adages, proverbs, aphorisms or popular phrases you like the most. If you're looking for inspiration. Have fun!😄

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ The Boondock Saints, Connor MacManus + Murphy MacManus, Blood is thicker than water.
+ MCU, Maria Hill/Natasha Romanoff, letting their hair down
+ Merlin, Arthur Pendragon/Merlin, Good things come to those who wait

We use AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2017 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 1 (not very current), Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet 2, or the Calendar Archives, or for more recent prompts, you can use LJ's advanced search options to find prompts to request and/or fill.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheets and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Fill. Harry Potter, Harry Potter/Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy.
She didn't know exactly what she'd been thinking when she'd taken both of them into her life: it was either a moment of madness or a moment of brilliance.

Right now, it felt like it was more the former.

“You are driving me nuts, do you two realize that?”

Draco looked perplexed and, as he did any time a muggle term was used by Hermione, waited for Harry to explain it. (To be fair, he did the same with her when Harry used them—they'd broken him from thinking all the different words dirty, at least.

Although, she could agree that cockamamie did sound a bit like something naughty.)

“We're making her feel batty.”

“I see. We'll clean up once we're done?”

She made a throaty little noise.

Harry's eyes were wide and he was quick to assure her, “We will make sure every scrap is scrubbed and you won't even be able to tell we ever splashed it on the wall.”

“You splashed on the wall?!”

“Of course not!” Draco practically shouted, his body between the cauldron and the damaged kitchen wallpaper.

Smothering them in their sleep was seeming a better and better option, but a wail from the floor above had her attention redirecting, and as she left the room and her boys behind, she grumbled, “Driving. Me. Nuts.”

Hahaha I loved this <3. Poor Draco not knowing Muggle words and Harry or Hermione having to tell him and poor Hermione being driven nuts by both of them.

Yay! Glad to hear it--I wasn't sure if you'd like Harry/Hermione/Draco.

There's something just inherently fun writing Draco as being so clueless when it comes to certain words and phrases. And devices. Imagine him with a washing machine? XD

Thank you for the prompt!

Just the image of him with a washing machine lol.

Nah I didn't mind. Beside Dramione I really also like Harry/Hermione too...basically I like Hermione with anyone but Ron.

Re: Fill. Harry Potter, Harry Potter/Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy.
It's one of my favorite things to think of when I need a laugh, mainly because I think of him spending an hour at the machine, increasingly frustrated, until Harry or Hermione walks in, loads the machine, turns it to the correct settings, and walks away while he stands there gobsmacked.

I'm going to keep that in mind in the future. And I agree: I was never a huge fan of Hermione/Ron. They never really fit together.

This is awesome. Draco, needing Muggle Translation help, and Hermione, putting up with their strangeness.

Re: Fill. Harry Potter, Harry Potter/Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy.
After seven years with Ron and Harry, I think putting up with strangeness was a necessary survival skill. Although, Harry probably could help out more with Draco...

Thank you! :D
