Let's cover some basics.

The Rules:
  • Anyone can leave a prompt. Or two. Or five. Have fun, but please remember to show some
    restraint for the sake of our beloved Code Monkeys!
  • Anyone can write a prompt. Or two. Or twenty.
  • Make sure your comment is comment-sized. If a prompt inspires you to commit greater fic,
    feel free to link to that fic with an excerpt.
  • Multiple comment ficlets can be committed for the same prompt.
  • Thank your fic provider, it encourages them to commit fic more frequently.
  • Have fun!
  • Pimp!
  • Any flaming, negativity, or just plain ol' meanness will be
  • deleted at the discretion of the mods.
  • Comments don't have to be porn, but we all like it when it is!
  • Please do not utilize spoilers in your prompts until the week after the episode etc has aired.
    We want everyone to feel comfortable writing and prompting!

Prompts

Okay, now maybe you want to know how this thing works? I thought you might. Here's a brief rundown.
  • Saturday and Sundays will be Lonely Prompt days, hosted by one of your Mods - no new prompts
    are accepted those days.
  • Friday is a Free For All day, also hosted by a Mod - all fandoms, pairings, and prompts welcome!
  • Monday thru Thursday we will have a guest host who is given posting access. Want to be a guest host?
    Contact our Keeper of the Calendar [info]monica_catch22 and she will put you on the calendar.
  • Hosts will be responsible for starting the day's thread. They will also pick the theme for the day.
    Themes may be fandom specific, genre specific or open to all fandoms. More information will be
    available to the host once you volunteer.
  • Once the host has posted the day's thread, people come along and comment with a prompt.
  • While there is currently no limit to the number of prompts you can leave, please show restraint.
    Don't leave more than five or six prompts in a row - we want everyone to feel like they can play!
  • Please be sure to format your prompt properly, as it will help our code monkeys code up the links
    (which will be found in handy, dandy indexes to make the porn easy to find). Format to be found below.


Format for posting prompts:

For single fandom: Fandom, pairing, word/phrase
Example: Supernatural, Sam/Dean, cozy

For a Crossover: Fandom/Fandom, pairing, word/phrase
Example: Stargate Atlantis/Leverage, Ronon/Eliot, blood and bruises

On occasion, the theme of a day will make this format not exactly apply. In that case, the host will clearly
indicate in the day's post what the format for that day will be (after clearing it with the mods/head code monkey).
