On Wednesdays we play in Alternate Universes!

Hello, everyone. I’m squidgiepdx and today's theme is the always fun Alternate Universe. Prompts can be just about anything, as long as it's not complete canon! So maybe take Lorne out of Stargate Atlantis and make him a baker, where David is a new wholesaler. Or maybe Casey McCall from Sports Night is a news anchor, and Dan Rydell is a guy he's been told is the best suitmaker in Manhattan. Or maybe (in a half-canon AU) Wayne from Letterkenny is having problems with his tractor, and Daryl is a mechanic that they sent from the next town over. If you think you can make an AU out of canon, today's the day!

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Stargate Atlantis, Evan Lorne/David Parrish, Evan the baker meets David, his new wholesaler.
+ Sports Night, Casey McCall/Dan Rydell, Casey needs a new suit, and finds himself standing in his boxers in front of Dan Rydell, who keeps flirting with him.
+ Letterkenny, Wayne/Daryl, The tractor won't start, and when his usual mechanic is away, the service sends him Daryl.

We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2021 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.
