Wednesday - Weather

Hiya *waves*

Today's theme is weather

Doesn't matter what fandom or pairing you choose, so long as the prompt (song lyrics, one word, a picture, whatever) somehow relates to weather.

Please make things easier for the codemonkeys and their pinch-hitters, and code your prompts correctly:

~ RPS; Jared/Jensen; snow day
~ Harry Potter; Remus/Sirius; unseasonably hot
~ SG-1; Janet/Sam; a winter cold in summer

Also, please make sure that you only have one prompt per comment as it makes it easier for everyone and gives you more chance of getting a fic in return for leaving the prompt :)

You can leave and answer as many prompts as you want to, or even write your own. If you don't see anything you fancy writing from the prompts left today, feel free to head on over to the Lonely Prompts page and see what takes your fancy from them ;)

You ready? Go forth and have FUN!

John/Cam, rainy afternoon
“Looking at the clouds won’t make them go away,” Cam says, watching John drift over to the window again. Not that he exactly blames John – he doesn’t want to be trying to balance their accounts either.

“It might.”

“It hasn’t the last fifteen times.” Cam gives up, saves the file and closes his laptop. Their accountant will do it for them in exchange for a couple of lessons anyway, especially if John asks her. “It’s meant to clear up tomorrow.”

John nods distantly, still looking at the sky and the rain that’s been falling non-stop all day. It’s only 3.30, but it might as well be early evening for all the natural light getting into their apartment. John’s not good with forced inactivity, never has been in the two years they’ve been running the flying school together, and Cam doesn’t think it’s a coincidence that he keeps looking in the right direction for Pegasus, even if he can’t see it.

“Hey,” he says, stepping up behind John and wrapping one arm round his waist. John’s warm, even though he’s only wearing a t-shirt, and he leans back into Cam.

“Want to go for a run?” John shakes his head. Cam kisses the bare skin against the neck of his shirt.

“Want to go down to the beach?” John hesitates this time, then shakes his head again. Cam kisses a little higher, watches John’s arm move to rest against his own.

“Want to go poke the engine of that wreck you call a car?” John actually huffs out a quick laugh at that, shaking his head again. Cam kisses the edge of his unshaven jaw, John tilting his head to let him.

“Want to make out on the couch?” John shakes his head again, then turns against Cam, tipping Cam’s head to kiss him, firm and possessive. It’s not what Cam expected, but he goes with it. Anything to snap John out of his funk, and it’s not like this is exactly a chore.

John’s hand slides down, pressing against Cam’s cock through his jeans and Cam pulls away. “Someone’ll see us.”

“It’s raining,” John says, kissing him again, yanking at the buttons of Cam’s jeans. “No-one’s out.” Another kiss. “No-one’s going to see.”

He shoves Cam’s pants and underwear down, palms his cock, and Cam chokes on whatever protest he’s about to make. John’s grin, when he looks up, is victorious and kind of sweet. And if that’s not a sign that Cam’s in way over his head, he doesn’t know what is.

“I knew you’d see it my way,” John says, stroking the length of Cam’s rapidly filling cock.

“Uh-uh,” Cam says. “If I’m going to risk being seen half-naked by our eighty-two year old neighbor, so are you.”

He loses fine motor control for a minute or two when John raises one challenging eyebrow and pushes him up against the wall beside the window, firming up his grip on Cam’s dick, but Cam wasn’t a 302 pilot for nothing. He’s good with distractions, especially when he’s got a goal, and it doesn’t take much to get John’s pants down. John leans into him, wraps his hand round both of them, jerking them off rough and fast, mouth pressed against Cam’s, not quite kissing, and Cam just leans against the wall and lets him do it.

It’s over way too fast, the two of them sliding down the wall in a mess of half-removed clothing and uncoordinated limbs, John’s elbow digging into the edge of Cam’s hip as they both catch their breath. Outside, the rain’s still falling steadily, and it occurs to Cam way too late that they’ve got the lights on inside and the curtains open. If anyone is out there, they’d have had a great view of the two of them.

“We should go down to the beach,” John says, belying his own words by resting his head against Cam’s shoulder and closing his eyes.

“We should go to bed,” Cam corrects, wrapping an arm round John to hold him close, and figures what the hell. This is worth a little embarrassment.

Even if their 82 year old neighbor *did* see them.

Re: John/Cam, rainy afternoon
Oh, I like this *so much*. Love that they're business partners and life partners. Love the quiet domesticity. The rain and the gray don't seem bleak so much as a way of focusing the reader's mind on the real action going on between John and Cam. Kinda like we the readers are the 82 year old neighbour spying on them ;)

Re: John/Cam, rainy afternoon
Thanks! It's hard to write rainy afternoons when it's warm and sunny (well, was, it's dark now).

Re: John/Cam, rainy afternoon
I've said it before and I'll say it again.

NO ONE can write Cam and John together better than you. This was sweet, sincere and oh, so hot. You are the best at creating a mental play back that makes these two characters together to be so real and natural.

Damn Girl, you are so GOOD!!

Please don't let the drought of Cam/John fics last this long again? Please?

Oh, I liked this a lot. It was so warm and affectionate, and I love any story that has Cam and John living cosily together.
