Friday free for all

Happy weekend, guys! We're doing our usual Friday shpeal of Free For Alls; no theme, just write.

As always please follow our rules:

Only three posts per fandom, and only five total.

If one of your prompts is answered, you may go ahead and post another. No spoilers for new shows/seasons until a week after airing.

If your fill is spoilery, WARN accordingly and leave enough space for people to pass on by. Please honor this when we're in the time of summer shows wrapping up.

please also follow the format for our code monkeys:

Suits, Mike/Harvey, playing with big boy toys

Warehouse 13/Alphas, author's choice, an alpha gets bronzed and needs rescuing.

if none of the prompts strike your fancy, please adopt one of the prompts not filled in our lonely prompts section on the left.

sorry for awful formatting.  Blame my phone.

At first, he tried to tell himself that the tingle along his spine was just nerves- he knew the Winchesters were all caught up with Angels and he didn't want to be found out.

But then he was found out anyway, and standing in the centre of the warehouse, trapped in a burning circle, the tingle was still there. He was pretty sure he knew what it meant but his brain stopped functioning at the prospect.

The Winchesters shouted at him a bit before they left, and something in the way Dean glanced back at him; some disappointment in the man's eyes struck Gabriel right where his heart should be.

He knew that look. He'd seen that look before, a hundred thousand times.

Was it irony, that the Righteous man had begun as an Angel; that the man who was so stubbornly against allowing the Angels to use him as a vessel was, in fact, already one? Dean might be a man but the spirit of what made him who he was was all Michael. He hadn't seen his brother in thousands of years, but Gabriel would recognize that spirit anywhere. (Eventually)

The fire around him faded but Gabriel didn't move, reeling from the spanner that had just been thrown into the works. Had it been Michael's plan all along? Did the others know? Castiel surely didn't; his care for the Winchesters was based solely on their humanity.

The Righteous man had been an Angel first; Gabriel's beloved brother. And he'd killed him, a hundred times, and sent his soul to hell for six months just to mess with Sam.

His brother had been to hell, been tortured there, for decades. Gabriel fell to his knees and vomited, for the first time in eternity. Dean might have commanded him to pick a side, but he might not want Gabriel on his when the truth came out.
