(Not normally a fan of fanart but there's something about this...)
Despite the fact that Draco had once abhorred the idea of any kind of muggle contraption, ever since Harry had become more than an enemy, more than a friend and now someone he couldn’t live the rest of his life without, it was worth the pain that he endured getting it done. The muggle form of a tattoo would mean more to Harry than the painless, active magical tattoo the he could have gone with.
It was to be a surprise, something to show Harry that he would gladly spend the rest of his days with Harry. He had hidden it away until it was properly healed and that was a task in its self. Keeping clothed around Harry when he wanted to do anything other than that? A challenge that would be well worth it.
It wasn’t often that Draco took the time to make dinner without the aid of magic but this called for it. Dinner was finishing up in the oven Harry insisted on getting and he went for a quick shower.
When he got out, towel wrapped around his waist, Harry was sitting on the bed looking exhausted. Draco had managed to get his pants on and was about to tug his undershirt over his head when Harry’s hands stopped him.
“What’s that?” Harry questioned as Draco dropped his shirt to the floor and turned so Harry could see the ink fully. Harry’s eyes widen as he took in the cursive words. He looked up to meet Draco’s eyes and his smile was blinding. “How? When?”
Draco raised a hand to the stubble on Harry’s cheek. “I had it done about a week ago when you and Ron had that surveillance mission.”
“Merlin,” Harry whispered before he leaned in to press his lips to the inked skin. “You know I love you too?”
Draco chuckled, “You better.”
